8 Years Ago Today

It was raining and I could not take wedding photos in the beautiful yard my mother had worked on.

And the air conditioner in the limo broke. (Did you notice that, yes it was June, and yes, it was in South LA?)

BUT
My best friends surrounded me as I prepared for the next chapter in my life.

Two of those best friends walked with me the morning of to get rid of any extra anxiety.

Those best friends sneakily invited our favorite singer/songwriter from college to perform at our reception.

Oh, it's true. (See what I did there Cowboy?)

AND I gave this handsome fellow my hand and never looked back!

So the pictures aren't great but they are two of my favorites!
We were just surprised by Johnny O'Neal! (Rest in Peace, you great songbird!)

Here's to 8 More! And heck, then we'll be really old!
