A Lunch Date in the Making

15 months in the making. (Ok, maybe less than that. This newbie Momma wasn't taking her own little newbie anywhere for a while!)

"Hey, we are going to meet you for lunch one day this week."

"Hey, maybe we'll come meet you for lunch on Tuesday."

"Hey, this week we are for sure going to meet you for lunch."

Those are frequent words heard around these parts as I have ambitious weekly plans. Sometimes we simply don't have a day to spare and other days we've been so busy that it's just nice to stay home.

But yesterday, we changed that and had so much fun meeting up with our fav Dad around these parts, and of course, I brought the camera for this blog post in the making. Things could have been disastrous with W's increasing independence in restaurants; things could have gone amazing.
Take a look and see.

Sharing the best chicken tenders momma's ever had (and her french fries as well!) was a hit with the wee fella.

And how cute as my dates! The Sheriff was much more interested in our table neighbor than my picture taking. Fair enough--he was a nice guy. There were also pumpkins everywhere--huge hit! In fact, maybe if we want to go out to eat any time soon I'll bring some pumpkins to put around the restaurant to entertain him. Think we could get away with redecorating some place fancy? I can see it now. Yes, we need a table for 2 and a high chair, oh and can you put these pumpkins around so the kiddo can see them?

This lunch date -- huge success. Big. Big. Or as W says, "Buh! Buh!"

*Apologies for the pic quality those of you who are looking. The lighting was weird and then I played around with black and white and well, I know nothing about photo editing!

SO MUCH FUN! It looks like y'all had a fun time! :) Hope y'all have been having a great weekend! XOXO

PS: I graduated LSU Law in 2010 (last May!). That would be so funny if we knew some of the same people - what a small world :)
