Most Days I Love "Two"

This week needs this ending. I need these pictures, these thoughts, and the happy memories the sweet little boy shares with me.

Toddlers get such a bad rap, deservedly so no doubt. We've had our share of chaos the last couple of days. The days weren't "terrible" ones, and the fact that The Sheriff is two had little to do with the tough times we all endured. Mostly, he's a boy; he's active; he's rough; he moves without caution. Everyone is ok, but this momma knows for sure that W's guardian angel exists.

Just for today I want to clear the name of toddlers everywhere to remind me that yes, they might be two, but that also means that:

They are the world's cutest and most willing helpers with yard work

They know what it means to be held and allow themselves to be

They know who makes them smile

They sometimes look far too grown up and make us pinch ourselves and appreciate the now

They are happiness bottled in a tiny frame

They show beauty in simplicity

They are silly in ways that make us appreciate youth

They are passionate about their interests

Thanks J for allowing me to steal all of your Instagrams!

He is so cute!!! My toddler will not snuggle for love or money! But I do love how we walk down the sidewalk and it takes 30 minutes because seh has to point out every stick and rock out there!

I love this. T doesn't let us hold him, but beyond that, I totally agree. Just tonight when I was putting him to bed I was thinking about how gosh darn cute he is even when he has had tantrums!

That photo of you and W in front of the garage (I think) just melted my heart! He's such a cutie! Toddlers, especially these boys are completely fearless. This is something we're learning as well. Thankfully, there are such beautiful toddler times too!

Great post.

He is gorgeous!! I too love this age, an age of discovery, of curiosity, of playfulness and innocence. I love seeing the world through the eyes of a toddler. Thanks for sharing your cutie pie with us xo
