Back to It

I'm not going to jump on the 31 Days train, and not because I don't want to. I'm just not game for the commitment right now which makes me somewhat lame, but I'm going to go ahead and say that this choice makes me realistic.

While I'm not joining in this October, I am not leaving untouched. There are so many bloggers writing about appreciating the simple, finding the joy, living out loud each day, and writing about daily moments that make our hearts smile, and these posts have been just what I needed to get me out my blogging hiatus. I go through phases where anything that pops into my head feels so insignificant, and I pressure myself to find posts that will come across as profound. I've written before about wanting, at times, to be a sort of power blogger, but inside my heart (and head) I know that my blog rests in simply scrapbooking  the stories of our day to day as a growing family, a family growing together and hopefully continuing to grow in number.

It's comforting to know that what I most enjoy about this blogging process is what others find themselves carving out time to do as well. That's where I want to be, at least for the time being.

And in this place I can remember moments like funny ways a still-a-bit sleepy toddler plays in the mornings:

I'll remember how mornings of play can be very serious business:

Mornings are lighthearted reunions with friends toddlers haven't seen all night:

And in this place I'll remember how very literal toddlers are.
"Wyatt, lay down next to your trains."

And some days, some moments, there's that perfect connection in capturing one sweet, sleepy little boy and his best friends.

I think I'll like this blogging place in which I've found myself once again.
