That Bandwagon--I'm On It

Nope, no Erin Condren planners here. I'll take my $3.99 Walmart planner and $5.00 adorable Target binder and call it a day for "home management." I'm not a hater. Ok, maybe I am. I just don't see what the fuss is all about, and don't even get Cowboy started. He can't believe that I still use paper and pen in the first place. But I realize to each his own.

I did manage to find myself getting a pretty pink box in the mail every month!

I love sending mail; I love receiving it. (Sorry friends and family that I haven't been on my game about this.) So I finally jumped on the wagon and signed up for a Birchbox subscription. For 10 bucks a month I get to try different beauty products which is good for me because I'm not all about spending lots of money on these things otherwise, so I can try things out without paying a ton of money.

Love the packaging!
Apparently members receive different products, so this is my September collection. I won't go into detail but I received some hand sanitizer that smells like heaven, a perfume sample that may or may not smell like my grandma, some great overnight cream, and one of my favorite lip products I've ever met (and I've tried lots as I've got the planet's driest lips!). I think I'll be purchasing more when it runs out.
My goodies!
And in case I miss something as we are going through the day's collection of mostly crap, this little one is here to help me out.

Is that so?
Yep, all good.

Ah not another Birch Box post...I'm ALMOST won over...

And I'll take $3.99 Walmart planner goodness any day. There are just some things that are just silly to spend so much money on!

I got the same lip balm in my BB, but the rest seemed random... hoping next month is better or I'm cancelling! There is a lot of hype over the EC planner... but... I have one and I adore it! it really is awesome! But i truly dont NEED it, haha. Your little helper is so presh!

I'm still on the fence with Birchbox. I spend so much darn money at Sephora and Ulta I usually walk away with tons of samples. I just can't justify paying for samples (although I can drop some serious cash on full-size products). lol. Looks fun, though.

And don't get me started on those planners. I don't understand it AT. ALL. I am a beast at Google Calendar. I have like 5 different ones, all color coded and synced to my iPhone. To me, that feels like more organization because I'm not using paper. I do have a desk calendar at work, too.

I agree with Meg that it is so much easier to use something online that syncs to your phone but call me old fashion but something about writing it down and being able to cross it out later...feels GREAT! Agreed the EC planners are pricey but she has so many discount codes to use. Just the extra goodies she sends is worth the price BUT also believe walmart planners do the trick too :)

Hmmm... this intrigues me. I may need to look into it.

I like the products you received in your Birchbox this month! Mine were different except for the awesome lip balm. I got that one too!

I buy my planner at target, or now just the refills. Plus I have another one for homeschool stuff, which I then transfer to my planner for safekeeping. Overkill, I guess!
